Rutten is the ideal base for visiting various cities.
Here we briefly list a few places of interest.

In TONGEREN (4 km), the oldest city in Belgium, you can visit the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady, the oldest beguinage in Limburg, the Gothic St. Catherine’s Church, Ambiorix, the city walls, the Gallo-Roman Museum and the largest antiques market. view of Europe.

BILZEN (15 km) is easily accessible by bike. Attractions are the town hall, the Sint-Mauritiuskerk, the language museum and the impressive Grand Commandery ‘Alden Biesen’.

In the fruit town of ST.-TRUIDEN (18 km) the town hall, the Romanesque St. Gangulfus church, the murals in the St. Genoveva church and the castle of Groot-Gelmen are well worth a visit.

HASSELT (17 km) features the largest Japanese garden in Europe, a film museum, the National Jenever Museum, the carillon museum, the fashion museum and many other places of interest.

In addition to the cozy streets, LIEGE (18 km) is home to the Ansembourg Museum, a weapon museum and the Curtius Museum. The Prince-Bishop’s Palace and St. Bartholomew’s Church are also worth a visit!

MAASTRICHT (19 KM) has a lot to offer:
the Helpoort, the Bonnefantenmuseum, the natural history museum, a doll museum,
